In 2001, Christopher Moujalli founded Mono as a sole trader with a vision of ‘building the next generation’.
Joined by his brother in 2005, they combined their experience with their family values to create the business that exists today.
As Director and Business Manager of Mono, Christopher has expanded the business to service the residential, development and commercial sectors, while leading a growing team of over 35 employees.
Responsible for leading the team to reach Mono’s strategic goals, Christopher believes this comes through providing unwavering support to his team so that they can fulfil their roles effectively.
A company driven by values
Christopher’s passion for building began more than 20 years ago, when he began his carpentry and joinery trade qualification. Over the two decades since, he has furthered his technical qualifications while becoming an expert in the industry and creating a business that is both profitable and principled.
“Our values are the cornerstone of everything we do here at Mono,” Chris says.
“And I really wanted to clearly define these values – for our team, our clients and our community – because they are so important to who I am as a person and the way I live my life, both professionally and personally.
And because it’s who we are as people, it makes sense that it’s who we are as a business.”
This commitment to living by his values extends to the way he approaches the Mono team. His drive to build safe spaces for communities to live, work and play extends not just to the structures he builds, but to the team he leads at Mono.
“Providing a safe place to work, not just physically but mentally and emotionally, is so important to what we do here at Mono,” Chris says.

It is through Chris’s exemplary leadership and his team’s consistently high standard of work that Mono has accumulated a diverse construction portfolio.
From luxury townhouses in Turramurra, to education projects and leisure centres, Mono’s commitment to building spaces where communities can thrive is evident.
Chris and the Mono team’s recent win of the Master Builders Association award for best housing/home units is indicative of the quality of Mono’s work, impressing the judges with the quality of the finish and attention to detail.
Family man
When Chris is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family.
“Family is everything to me, so spending as much time with them as possible is what I love most,” he says.
“With a large extended family, this takes up a lot of time!” he laughs.
